Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt agree that their 'ishq' is COMPLICATEDAlia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan made their acting debut together and have collaborated for a total of four films, the latest one being Kalank. Their on-screen chemistry is such that the duo’s fans secretly wish that they were a real-life couple. Even off camera, Varia, as they are fondly called by fans, bond like house on fire. Which is why people feel they should be a ‘real-life’ couple. But, that’s not the case. Varun is in a steady relationship with his childhood friend, Natasha Dalal and their wedding rumours have been doing rounds since a long time now. Talking about Alia, she has found love in Ranbir Kapoor and they are going strong too. So, the possibility of Alia-Varun seeing each other is out of question.

Having said that, fans still hope for Varun and Alia’s happily-ever-after as they share a sizzling chemistry. And keeping the same thought in mind, a radio show host finally asked Varia if they ever had a crush on each other. To which, the Raazi actress said, “There’s no need to talk about who all we had a crush on in life. List bahut lambi hai, at least meri toh bahut lambi hai.” Before Alia could complete what she wanted to say, Varun interrupted, “Meri nahi hai lambi. I think it’s a friendship. When you are very fond of someone, I think there’s a lot of care and there’s a lot of respect.”

Their amusing banter continued with Alia correcting the Judwaa 2 star by saying, “You think it’s a friendship??? Say it is a friendship na. I think it’s a friendship means what?” (sic) That being said, Varun went on to describe their equation as, “It’s a friendship more than a romantic bond.” While the duo continued chatting, their Kalank co-star, Aditya Roy Kapur, finally summed up Alia and Varun’s equation with, “Ishq Complicated” and the duo agreed.

This isn’t the first time Alia and Varun have had such amusing conversations. They always have this spot-on banters which bring a smile to our face. Coming to their film, Kalank, it is helmed by Abhishek Varman and stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sonakshi Sinha.

Kalank releases on April 17 and we are eagerly looking forward to this period saga.
