Salman Khan’s two-day nightmare ended on a good note for the actor after he was granted bail by the Jodhpur Sessions Court. The actor was convicted in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case and sentenced to five years imprisonment. However, his lawyers continued with their efforts to get him out on bail and the verdict was announced in his favour. As soon as the bail was sanctioned by the Sessions court judge, Salman’s fans gathered outside the court rejoiced over his victory and the celebration was worth watching. The actor was soon released from jail within an hour and he later boarded the charter flight waiting for him at the Jodhpur airport. A couple of hours later, Salman Khan landed in Mumbai with his sisters, Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma and headed for his residence straightaway. And guess what was the first thing he did after entering the house? He made his way to the flat’s terrace to wave out to his fans gathered below his building. The crowd literally roared for their favourite actor and the happiness on his face was quite evident.

We expected his industry friends to come and visit the star after his conviction and later the release from Central jail. And guess we were right! Salman’s former girlfriend and co-star. Katrina Kaif was among the many celebrities who rushed to meet the actor as soon as he reached his residence. Joining Kat was Daisy Shah, Malaika Arora, Mahesh Manjrekar, Saqeeb Salim, Amrita Arora and others.

While Salman is free to resume his shoot for his future movies, he can’t leave the country without court’s orders. The relief is temporary for the actor as the Bishnoi community, who registered the case earlier are unhappy with the bail verdict. They now plan to move to the Rajasthan High Court. Mahipal Bishnoi, the Bishnoi community’s lawyer said to News18 that the 52-year-old actor cannot leave the country without the court’s permission. Khan will also have to be present on 7 May for the next hearing in the blackbuck poaching case.
