Baaghi 2 releases on March 30.

When we met up with Tiger Shroff recently, he revealed how nervous he was about Baaghi 2‘s fate at the box office. He started the conversation with ‘Phati padi hai,’ and went on to say, “I am really scared because I haven’t come off from a hit. My last hit was a prequel to this. That being said, I really need this one to work, to take me where I want to be, and we have worked really hard and are very confident in our product. That is why makers have announced the third part, just to show confidence in their product.” Now if you are wondering as to why Baaghi 2 has suddenly become the most important film in his career, let us break it down for you. After Baaghi earned dollops of money at the box office, Tiger came up with two more releases. One was the Remo D’souza-directorial, A Flying Jatt, and the other was Munna Michael. Both the films had ample scope to flourish at the box office. While A Flying Jatt had a supernatural premise with loads of action and comedy, MM had him owning the dance floor like a boss. But the films couldn’t make the cut. The actor, thus, knows that the stakes are higher for him with this film. But we feel he doesn’t really have much to worry about. That’s because Baaghi 2 has already created a good buzz. The stunts in the film have become all the rage. Plus, there’s also the added romantic track between him and his rumoured girlfriend, Disha Patani, which is getting the film a lot of attention.

You have to remember here that after Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, who have moved on to mature performance-driven content, Bollywood really needs an action hero. And Tiger is a worthy successor. Baaghi 2 has all the trappings of becoming his next big hit. In fact, it can become bigger than the prequel as well if it lives up to the hype created by the trailer.
