While box office clashes have become a cliche in Bollywood, it continues to happen in the entertainment especially during the festive weekends. Livewire Ranveer Singh and Badshah Shah Rukh Khan, who had earlier locked horns with Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale, will clash again with Simmba and Zero at the box office in December this year. Though we can’t call it a clash since there is a one week gap between the two films. SRK’s Zero is set to hit the screens on December 21, whereas Ranveer’s Simmba is expected to release on December 28.One more interesting thing about this clash films is the director, Rohit Shetty. While earlier, Rohit had directed SRK’s Dilwale, this time the director has changed his preference to Ranveer Singh by being at the helm of affairs of Simmba. Talking about Zero, which is touted to be the ambitious project of Shah Rukh Khan and director Aanand L Rai, has created excitement among the audience with its teaser. Expected to be one of the costliest Bollywood films, Zero also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma key roles, with a cameo of Salman Khan. The first poster of Simmba, which featured Ranveer Singh in the rowdy cop avatar received a huge thumbs up from the audience. Looking at the poster and genre, the film promises to give us a full-on masala entertainer with a Rohit Shetty touch to it.While Zero will enjoy the Christmas weekend, Simmba will capitalise on the New Year weekend.
