Edward Sonnenblick was born in Southern California and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area with his father, a computer engineer from New York’s Lower East Side, his mother, a nurse from Finland, and one older brother. He pursued numerous interests in varied fields across the arts and sciences, eventually graduating from Humboldt State University with a BS in Botany. Already an accomplished cook, he then worked as a natural foods chef in Northern California for the next decade or so until India called him. Stirred by the spiritual, culinary, cultural, and cinematic (yes, Bollywood) traditions of the subcontinent, Edward taught himself Hindi and moved to Mumbai to seek his fortune as an actor. He soon found himself playing a double role of evil British twin brothers in the hit historical TV series, “Jhansi ki Rani”. His Bollywood dream has continued to unfold over nearly a decade in the Indian entertainment business, north and south, and also includes his rise as a leading voice artist in the industry. He lives in Mumbai with his Indian wife and their 5 year old son.
