2.0 will hit the screens on November 29

Director Shankar’s 2.0 featuring megastar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is one most of the anticipated films of the year. But unfortunately, the sci-fi venture has faced many changes in the release dates. Earlier, it was scheduled to release on Diwali, 2017 but it was postponed to Republic Day 2018 due to incompletion of VFX. Later on, the makers delayed the release to April 27 giving the similar reason but again it failed to make its way to the theatres. Now as per the latest official statement, the makers have booked the date of November 29 for its release.

Talking about the latest development, the producers of 2.0 are planning to release the teaser of the film on August 15 during the Independence Day. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar’s Gold is also hitting the screens on the same date, so we can expect a wide reach of the teaser among the movie buffs. The expectation from this project is sky-high. Being the most expensive Indian film, which is made on the whopping budget of over Rs 400 crore, box office is riding very high on it.

The makers of 2.0 have blown our minds with their out of the box concepts in the marketing strategy. Right from the posters on Hot air balloon tour to the lavish audio launch event in Dubai every campaign of the film has grabbed great attention from the audience. It is the first Indian film, which has been completely shot in 3D and will be released in 3D formats in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.
