Aquaman stars Jason Momoa reprising his role from Justice League.

The first Aquaman trailer has been released by the makers. And it looks nothing like the DCEU we have come to know over the years. Some call DCEU dark and edgy, unlike Marvel, and love it for that matter. But Jason Momoa’s Aquaman seems to be going away from the ‘failed’ formula. As we know DC’s more colourful and vibrant Wonder Woman, broke all box office records, it comes as no surprise that the production house decided to tone down the darkness a little. Aquaman stars Jason Momoa reprising his role from Justice League. We are going to learn the origin of this superhero in this very movie. We get an exciting hint of this storyline in the trailer, but more importantly, the story is going to be about the return of the king to take his rightful place. “Trust me, I am no king,” is what a reluctant Aquaman believes though.

It is interesting to see an entire world, Atlantis, built underwater, through CGI. Remember those underwater cities you have seen in Shark Tale, Star Wars, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets? Aquaman presents an exponentially sophisticated version of a city underwater. They have a transportation system. Even a battle arena. Well, we are sure we would learn more about the city in the full movie.

And thanks to the trailer for only teasing us and not giving out the entire blueprint of the movie. Well, this is just the first trailer. You never know when DC goes full mental and goes for a spoiler like revealing Wonder Woman, Super Man, Batman teaming up in the trailer of Dawn of Justice.
