Ever since the news came out that Rajkumar Hirani was making a biopic on Sanjay Dutt featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the film has captured the imagination of movie buffs around the country. While the trailer of the film is slated to launch tomorrow at an exclusive event, sources close to Dutt have revealed that the actor will not be attending the function.
The source said, “Sanjay Dutt wanted to be a part of the trailer launch but he will not be able to take time out to attend owing to his professional commitments.” Dutt has been in the news off late for his upcoming projects. He’s reportedly opted out of the Dhamaal sequel that features the likes of Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. He also had to bow out of Omung Kumar’s upcoming movie. He is part of films like ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3’, ‘Panipat’ with Arjun Kapoor as well as Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’.
His biopic featuring Ranbir is tentatively titled ‘Sanju’ and is slated to release on June 18, later this year. Reportedly, the film’s trailer will also be attached to the upcoming release of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
