Arjun Kapoor has two films lined up for this year.

When it comes to being a producer’s actor, there are very few like him. Arjun was shooting for Namaste England when Sridevi passed away and the family was plunged into grief. He immediately requested his producer Vipul Shah to grant him leave to be with his father Boney Kapoor. “Arjun had to take leave for about 7 days to be beside his dad and family. He had to ensure everyone was doing okay. Arjun knew that the entire production crew was waiting in Punjab for him and he had to finish off a week’s backlog as soon as he hits the sets. He spoke to Vipul and informed him that he will be doing 18-hour shifts to make up for lost time!” reveals an informer from the sets.

The source adds, “Arjun told Vipul he understands that he has to finish all his pending work so that the crew isn’t working one extra day in Punjab, which would mean Vipul’s production cost would shoot up. Arjun is extremely cognisant and sensitive that the producer shouldn’t incur any further costs than what has been allocated for the shoot and is shooting non-stop every day.”

Our informers say that Vipul has been extremely supportive and has also made sure Arjun is relieved, so he gets the weekend to come back to meet his dad and the kids, and head back to resume shoot with Parineeti who’s also accommodated dates to make sure the schedule goes as per plan. “Arjun has silently gone about his work post the demise because he felt it’s important he keeps his head down and fulfils his commitments, which even his dad wanted him to complete despite the tragedy,” the source says.
