Is THIS picture actually Amitabh Bachchan’s first look from Thugs of Hindostan? We decode the mystery…
While Amitabh Bachchan‘s health issues concerned and all yesterday (March 13), a viral picture on the internet, supposed to be the actor’s look from Thugs of Hindostan, left everyone stunned. The picture of an old man, looking exactly similar to the veteran star and wearing spectacles, a suit and a pagadi made us believe that it was his first look from the film. However, is it actually real? Or is it a fake picture? Well, here’s the answer.
While the image is real, it is NOT Amitabh Bachchan‘s picture at all. In fact, it is a portrait shot of an Afghani refugee named Shabuz. Renowned photographer Steve McCurry had taken this picture in January 2017 and you can find the picture on his Instagram page. After posting this image last year, he had even captioned it as, “I made this portrait of Shabuz, age 68, an Afghan refugee in Pakistan. Many Afghans use only one name.” So quite clearly it is not Amitabh Bachchan’s look from Thugs of Hindostan. But isn’t the striking similarity very surprising? In the meantime, Amitabh Bachchan and team Thugs of Hindostan are currently shooting in Jodhpur. The veteran star fell ill yesterday (March 13) and a team of doctors were rushed to check on him. While it was a serious issue, looks like the superstar’s health has improved. As the actor posted on Twitter, “T 2742 – कुछ कष्ट बढ़ा, चिकिस्तक को चिकिस्ता के लिए बुलाना पड़ा ; इलाज प्रबल , स्वस्थ हुए नवल , चलो इसी बहाने , अपनों का पता तो चला ~ ab (An ailment increased, so I had to call in the doctors to conduct my check up. The treatment was successful, I am healthy now.
